This well optioned EK2 High-Impact Go-Mango over black interior 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A is one of 2,399 (989 4-speeds, 1,410 auto) examples produced for 1970.

Drivetrain includes the original numbers matching 340 Six Pack, 727 Torque-flite and 3.55 Sure-Grip Rear Axle.

The T/A package was created to meet SCCA homologation requirements.
It included a special race version triple two-barrel carburetor equipped 340ci V8 engine, a unique fiberglass hood with a functional scoop, a rear spoiler, front spoiler, T/A striping, engine call-outs, and a side outlet dual exhaust system. Additional equipment on this example includes power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, 15″ Rallye wheels with chrome trim rings and center caps, a center console, solid-state AM radio and rallye dash cluster.

This T/A rolls on concourse correct G60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GT white letter tires in the rear and E60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GT white letter tires in the front . A correct factory original space saving spare and canister is mounted in the trunk.

Original performance numbers were listed at 290HP and 345 FT/LB TQ, but actual power numbers for this powertrain were reported to be closer to or greater than 330HP and 375 FT/LB TQ.

This Challenger T/A has been correctly and completely restored to a high standard. It comes with original manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, Galen Govier visual inspection report, and a clean Texas title.

Overall this car is a strong #2 example of a high-impact colored well optioned 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A
