Seller’s Description: Described by the seller as a “low-mileage original survivor,” and with a sub-3,000-mile odometer reading that the seller says is accurate, this 1970 Ford F100 Styleside Sport Custom Half-Ton Pickup is claimed to be entirely original except for normal mechanical upkeep. With a 302-cu.in. V8 and a column-shifted manual transmission with Borg-Warner overdrive, the F100 is said by the seller to be unmodified from stock, and to be free of both rust and past rust repairs.
The 302-cu.in. OHV V8 in this F100, which was rated by Ford at 205 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque when new, is reported to be original to the truck, with no rebuild history. The engine is said to start and idle normally without smoke. The seller reports “normal shifting” from the three-speed (plus overdrive) manual transmission, which sends its output to the rear wheels. The seller notes leaks from normal coolant overflow but no oil leaks. The engine bay presents as stock and acceptably clean.
The claimed original paint is reported to be in good overall condition, with some fading noted on the hood. A few minor scratches and chips are noted, but no dents. The seller notes some surface rust on the rear bumper, while stating that the rest of the F100 is “free of rust.” The glass is described as “excellent,” with no scratches or cracks. No issues are reported with the cab seals. All lighting is said to work. The underside appears to be generally clean, with minor surface corrosion in a few spots.
The vinyl seating is reported to be of “excellent quality,” with “no defects.” Full adjustment of the bench seat is noted. The carpet is reported to be free of holes and other damage. The headliner is described as “perfect,” with functional dome lighting. No interior trim is said to be missing. All instrumentation is reported to be operable, except for the temperature gauge. The factory AM radio reportedly works. The heater is said to be operable.
The date of the F100’s most recent chassis service is unknown, and the seller believes the components are original to the truck. The seller reports no component damage or functional issues. The manual drum brakes have reportedly had recent service, including new lines and linings. The age of the Firestone Deluxe Champion tires is unknown but their tread depth is reported to be good.
The seller states that this vehicle will be sold on a clean Tennessee title in his name. An owner’s manual will be included. This 1970 Ford F100 StyleSide Sport Custom Pickup is claimed to be highly original, with an odometer reading of fewer than 3,000 miles that the seller says is accurate.
