Seller’s Description: My dad bought this truck in 71, second hand and used it as his daily driver to and from work. He drove it for about 20 years and then it was used for truck hauling use until the sungear was stripped in the transmission. The truck was parked in early ’93 with the plan of restoring it along with a Monte Carlo, but life happens, and plans change, and one day you wake up and your old and you have failing health. The time has come when the family has decided it is time to let “Granny Hotrod” go to a new home where she can be shown the love and care she needs. The clock shows somewhere around 167k on it, but dad loved working on cars at one time and he pulled the engine and had another one put in for about 50k miles before putting the original motor back in. It has heads off of a 327 on it for better gas mileage, but one of the valves is burnt (we do have the original heads). The transmission was replaced with an automatic overdrive (700 4-R). It has factory air and it is a LONG BED. I know the price is high for a long bed, but that is what he wanted to ask for it. The good news is it’s a Tennessee truck, so it is not exposed to the winter snows & salt like the Northern states. Please show Granny Hotrod the TLC she is needing.
