Seller’s Description: My father believed it best to let someone else pay the premium on a brand new vehicle, so he could get it at the one-year depreciation price. It’s a white interior and exterior. I went out with him that day in June 1973. A mechanic buddy and I lined up the forest green 1967 Cougar XR-7 with the ‘new’ white 1972 Cougar XR-7. Both cars had every ‘bell & whistle’ Mercury offered. We spotted ways where it appeared the engineering was designed to save the Ford Motor Co. money. This car has far outperformed the ’67.
Reason for selling: I am headed for my second major back surgery in the past decade. Driving the car for more than a few minutes becomes painful.
Always garaged plus tons of TLC, it can continue for a long time to come. Call 814-274-9124 or email LMPatterson1@zitomedia.net with any questions.
The asking price was recommended by John’s Cougar Central, Holland Michigan.
