Seller’s Description: I’m selling my 1978 Dodge Van/truck. It has a 360 engine and a 727 automatic transmission, both run and drive out smoothly. It is a fun vehicle to drive. It has leather seats and interior with a nice headliner and decent carpet. The carpet has been cleaned but may have a few spots here and there. Overall, it is in pretty good shape. It’s been recently painted but the paint didn’t come out like we were hoping, but when you do an outside job, sometimes that happens. At least it looks better than it did before painting it. It is all Dodge and since it is a dually that makes it a 3500 and it will haul anything that you can hook to it. I can’t keep it anymore, my wife can’t get in it. She is a double amputee and the only way she can get in is to take her legs off and crawl through the backdoor. It is a four-door so it gets plenty of looks everywhere you go. You don’t see Vans or trucks like this every day! I’m sure there may be another one out there somewhere. I know Dodge used to make a Dreamer which was a van/truck but it did not have four doors. We have driven it to several car shows over the few years, before we got to where we couldn’t go anymore. Since we can’t easily use it anymore I’ve decided it has to go. If it wasn’t for that, I would probably keep it. Thank you for looking!
In response to the questions about my truck. It is a 1978 motorhome, no I did not build it, it came from Florida to Tennessee, and then I bought it from a guy that I know that ended up with it. I liked it, so I went ahead and bought it. The only thing I did was I took the Chevrolet bed off and I put a Dodge bed on it. It does have a 360 engine and it has a 727 transmission, it will literally burn the dualies off of it if you wanted to. Turning it around, yes it’s long, so it’s going to take a little bit to turn it. That being said, you can turn it around in a parking lot with easy. I honestly bought it because it was so different. I say a lot of vehicles that are put together out there in the world and their shabby jobs. This wasn’t a factory job, it is a 1978 cab from a Dodge Club Cab and it’s a 1983 truck banned from a Dodge full-size truck. Other than that it’s all motorhome. But because it’s so lightened up the 360 can really move it down the road. I don’t know what more to say about this ad other than I’ve tried to be honest about it from the get-go.
