Seller’s Description: For sale is an original Fiberfab Valkyrie kit car. The Fiberfab body & frame were made in 1971 but apparently was not completed & registered until 1978.
The Valkyrie is a mid-engine GT sports car introduced in 1967 by a U.S. company called Fiberfab. The Valkyrie’s styling was inspired by the lines of the famous Ford GT40 race car, which Ford campaigned at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The body is made of fiberglass & the perimeter frame is made of 2″x5″ rectangular tubing. The frame utilized Chevrolet Corvair front suspension, rear trans-axle & Saginaw 4 speed manual transmission. The mid-engine is a stock Chevy 350 cu.in. mounted behind the driver.
The car comes with a prototype Lexan rear window, prototype louver rear window & prototype rear spoiler. The rear window opening is designed to accept a Mustang rear window.
The car currently registered in NY State & has been driven in the Summer for 10 years. The car needs new paint & upholstery. It comes with Chevy 15″ steel wheels & hub caps. See car at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0KmlU_tHbc
