BF Classified: 1985 GMC Sierra Classic Short Bed

Seller’s Description: Posting this for my friend who’s Father in Law just passed away and the estate is selling the truck.
He doesn’t know too much about it but can document the purchase by father in law, sale to a close friend, and upon his passing repurchased it and had it fixed up. Everything works except the AC. He is unsure why.
Miles are 69,000 and original. The Interior was done, was painted, a new steering column, and the carburetor was rebuilt. He says he has pictures of the truck in stages of the rebuild and paperwork showing the ownerships.
He is asking $15,000 or best offer. Have additional photos that I can share upon request.
You may contact me at 412-370-5729 and I will give you his number if you are serious. Or want more information (he is trying to avoid the usual sales sites while they are dealing with the death).

Price: $15,000 OBO
Location: Bel Air, Maryland
Mileage: 69,009
Title Status: Clean

    …posting for a friend…

I usually check out at that point.

Yup, I always assume that’s a flipper trying to explain why the title isn’t in his name.

I normally agree with you guys about the whole “posting for a friend” statement, but if the phone number given is for the seller & not the poster, it is probably legit. I question the “original” miles. These are pretty tough trucks & they usually don’t need that much done at those miles. But it is the hot body style (short bed, wide side) a d if not all bondo, worth the asking price to someone.

Come on guys. This was posted by a fellow Barn Finds reader so at least give them a chance.

Don’t know anything about the truck…except knows enough to charge top dollar.

Just one photo. Any interior, engine, rust anywhere, transmission, is it running?

I like LWB models, but this SWB, without the factory chrome moldings along the two tone, is very sharp! They should’ve done this from the factory.
