Seller’s Description: 1989 Chevy unmolested Survivor. I am listing my 1989 Chevy C15 two-wheel-drive Silverado. I bought this truck in April 2012 from a local Chevy dealer with 113,019 miles and it now has only 118,817. Yes, I only put 5,798 miles in over 8 years and I have documentation to confirm the miles. When I bought this truck there was a transmission issue but it was driveable, I had a complete rebuild done by a professional shop and I have the documentation for that.
I have made every effort to show and represent this truck as clearly as possible. I have only cleaned this truck, the interior, exterior, and engine area. I have made a special effort to not use any touch-up paint, Armorall, or any product to disguise it’ condition.
This truck is an unmolested survivor in most ways. Good running and sounding 5.7 Liter 350 V-8 with EFI fuel injection that starts well and does not smoke. The truck steers and drives well and should be safe for a road trip. Rebuilt 700R transmission. AC is very cold, works well, and has been converted to R134. All gauges and most everything works correctly. Power windows and cruise work well as does original AM/FM radio and factory equalizer, I have never tried the cassette player. Very nice rare bucket seat interior, with console interior, original floor mats, jack, and tools. No spare tire. Original exterior two-tone paint, I can find no evidence of bodywork or repainting. The glove box data sticker confirms the two-factor colors. Also, the truck has working original service lights under the hood including the fender trouble light with cord. The 8-foot box is very good and did have a high top fiberglass topper when I got the truck, the topper was just recently removed. There is some rust starting on the body over the rear wheels which I have tried to show in photos. The rockers are good, the steel frame and suspension have surface rust.
I mostly used this truck over the eight years to haul used take-off tires to the landfill because of the tall topper. It has served me well but I no longer need it. Over the time I have owned it I did replace the radiator and clutch fan and some other maintenance items. The truck has received regular oil changed and has not been driven hard by any means.
I have a good Illinois title, it appears the previous owner bought the truck in 1995 with 43,780 miles. I am selling this truck with “AS IS ” condition and no Warranty. I am an Illinois used car dealer located in Milan IL, 61264 and any Illinois buyers may be subject to state sales tax, license, and title fees. You can reach me at 309-787-1600. Thanks, Jim.
