Seller’s Description: 1990 Ford Bronco II XLT
This is a low mileage, 2 owner Bronco that is in incredible condition for having been used as a plow truck here in New England for the last 5 years.
The first owner purchased her new in Lynchburg, VA in late November, 1989 and only put about 50,000 miles on her.
At some point in that span, the truck was repainted in the original red/white combination, so the paint looks really good. There are a few small chips and up on the roof, the large side windows have had some extra sealer added, they do not leak.
The current owner bought her in 2017 with the intention of using her as a rust free plow truck for their 4-5 acre plot, however, he has always kept very good care of his vehicles and this Bronco is no exception.
The Bronco came from the factory with the 2.9L V6 which cranks out around 140HP and 170lbft of torque. That rolls through a 3 speed auto trans, in this case with overdrive, and that is transferred to the 2 axles via a manually shifted Borg-Warner 1350 Transfer case (2.48-1 low range), the 7.5″ rear end in this Bronc is equipped with a limited slip differential. The TTB (Twin Traction Beam) front end does the pulling up front and also has manually operated hubs. She shifts easily into 4H and 4L and the driving video shows her creeping up the steep driveway in 4Low.
Continuing under the truck, one will be hard pressed to find anything more than minor surface rust as the underside was treated when the truck came north to a NH Coatings type rust proofing. There are two areas on each side rocker panels where some bubbles are forming but haven’t perforated the metal. The power disc brakes up front and drums out back Whoa this pony. Outback is a tow hitch with 4 prong wiring.
Inside, the plush, RED velour is rather comfy and unlike leather or vinyl doesn’t get too hot or too cold. The seats are in great condition with some minor ear on the driver bolster and there are a couple of small holes in the headliner. Did I mention the interior is red? The dash also has some minor wear and a crack in the center. Overall, not an uncomfortable place to spend time behind the wheel.
This Bronco does come with the plow and electronic/hydraulic controls. The plow is a 7′ Western and the hydraulic pump is also Western, the controls inside are by Fisher. The system operates as it should, moving easily in all directions.
Everything works as it should inside, including the power windows and power locks. The headlights are intermittent… I believe it has something to do with the plow set up. Other accessories include power steering and AC, which blows nice and cold.
The standard aluminum Ford wheels are in good condition but would look so much better polished back to original, they are wrapped with 235/75/15 Definity Dakota Mud Terrain tires which are in good condition and purchased in 2018.
The truck is totally turn key and runs and drives great (aside from current headlight issue) and is in awesome shape for a 1990 4×4 with a hair over 51,000 miles.
There are two more parts Broncos that can purchased along with this running/driving example, for very little additional cost.
One is tan with tan interior and has some body panels that are crunched, the other is a near matching red one that the rear axle is out of (that axle is the one in this Bronco) if interested in those, please ask for additional photos directly.
Any questions, for an additional 350+ photos and video, to schedule a time to see her or simply to make an offer, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
