Seller’s Description: Custom 1992 F 150 Step side
I bought this truck from a Mechanic at a Municipal Water Works. He had done a lot of engine work on it. I suspect he must be the one that rebuilt the engine and modified it.

I drove it as my Daily Driver for a couple years. I lost the Transmission and replaced it with a re-manufactured one from Frazier. Then I decided to do some bodywork on it. I took it down to just the cab and the frame. Covered the dash and repainted the rest of the dash. Replaced the carpet, floor & rear (up the back). Seats from a 2014 Platinum F-150 all wired and working (not the memory). Console from a Harley-Davidson F-150. The door panels are new aftermarket for a 1995 SVT.
The Cab was Stripped, Primed and Painted with 1 step urethane. The doors came from a low milage ’95 f-150 wreck. The window have new regulators (aftermarket). The windows all work. I did not replace the electric door locks; they do not work but has new key cylinders. New aftermarket fenders in the front. Hood is an aftermarket fiberglass Ram Air. Everything was painted “Saphire Blue” before assembled. The grille headlights, directionals, bumper and everything in the front was new aftermarket. The Bumper Flair and the fog lights were aftermarket for a 1995 Lightning, switches are in the console. New aftermarket Windshield and rear window.
The Step Bed was removed. The Fiberglass fenders were repaired and primed and painted. The steel floor of the bed was removed. The new floor is “Butcher Block”. 1” of Maple. ¼” of Cherry, then 1” of Maple. The new divider strips and trim is Stainless Steel. The rear bumper was replaced and with a rolled handmade fiberglass one.
The tires are brand new “Mickey Thompson” 12” on rear and 6” on front. New reverse chrome rims with baby moons. New brake pads all around, cylinders rebuilt. Rear taillights are new aftermarket. The truck has Ford running boards that came with the truck. I just had a retired Ford mechanic go through and make sure all the light work. While we had the body off, I cleaned and painted most of the frame.
Under the hood is pretty much as I got it, stock (I think) 5.0L EFI engine. The rear main leaks a little, maybe a quart a year. I replaced the valve covers with vintage “Mickey Thompson” covers. I add the Ram Air tubes to take advantage of the new hood. The truck is one of the best running trucks (and cars) I’ve ever owned, so I didn’t mess with it. I do suspect someone put a mild cam in it. The truck has plenty of “get up and go”!
I replaced the transmission a couple years ago with a remanufactured from Frazer. It’s only got a couple thousand miles on it. Also, replaced the radiator at the same time.
“Sapphire Blue” as I call it, is a real head turner! Could use some further buffing and polishing of the paint. Unfortunately, is too pretty for a work truck and doesn’t qualify for Haggarty’s low collector insurance, so I keep it off the road. It does have WA collector Plates, that do not go with it. It’s just been sitting around for a couple years. I need to find this truck a new home. I have over $30,000 in it, but my loss is your gain! If you want a sporty truck, this is it, Although I’ve listed it @ $22,000., I will consider reasonable CASH offers!
