This car is truly for the collector car enthusiast. The new owner of this car will not be disappointed. This is a genuine honest solid driver’s car. I rarely see any Capri’s for sale in recent years. For 1994, only 366 Turbo XR2 model were imported in the US.
This car is an adult owned, never modified, wrecked or raced sample. Read on for a more detailed description of the overall condition of the car.
The car is in bone stock original condition. Mileage is original and correct and currently at 83,200. It has never been involved in any sort of accident. There is no rust through on any part of the chassis or sheet metal structure, all the body panels are exceptionally straight and are in perfect alignment.
The interior is in fantastic condition. There are no rips, open seams or tears on the leather sport comfort seats front and rear. The carpet is in excellent condition. The AC system is fully charged and blows ice cold air. Even the original ford radio/cassette player works, comes with an assortment of 90’s rock band cassettes. I also have the factory color matching hardtop in perfect condition, currently in storage.
The engine starts right up with no smoke or oil consumption. It idles smoothly, with no unusual noises. The car runs and drives exceptionally well. The 5 speed transmission engages smoothly and quietly in all gears. Suspension and steering are rock solid. All major maintenance is up to date. Recent new oem gas tank, full tune-up and 4 new tires. This car is a blast to drive, fast, nimble and handles great.
Although the car is almost 30 years old, parts are very easy to come by as, this Australian built Mercury shares the same mechanical platform as the Mazda MX-3. Google and do your research on Third generation (1991–1994) to find out more about the unusual story behind this car.
