Seller’s Description: For Sale is a 1996 Mystic Cobra Mustang, a true collectible that will only gain value! This very unique and beautiful color changing paint was only offered as a limited edition by Ford for a select number of 1996 Cobra’s. It can look black, deep purple, gold/root beer or evergreen, depending on how the light hits it (sorry that the photos do not do it justice). Some call it oil spill paint, other call it chameleon. This rare paint was Ford’s celebratory way of bringing in their very first year with the Cobra’s new high performance, dual overhead cam, four valve, hand built modular SVT engine (hand signatures still on the engine)! This exquisitely rare paint makes this Cobra extremely collectable, especially with such LOW miles! Every year there are less and less of these rare Mystic Cobra’s available and the ones that are available typically have higher miles and/or show heavy use. This 1996 Mystic Cobra only has 22,033 original miles and it’s condition represents a car with that low of miles! This Cobra is in very nice condition. It has been left almost completely stock with only tasteful removable add-ons being used. These simple add-ons can easily be taken off to allow this well engineered machine to be exactly the way Ford manufactured it. I have kept and carefully packaged every single original part. I even kept the original exhaust without having to cut it, so it too could be re-installed (it is still in great condition), I have the original wheels, headlights and even two of the original 1996 Ford tires!! They were on the car when I purchased it and even though they still had good tread… I did not trust them due to their age. This car has been well cared for and maintained, I use full synthetic Amsoil and it has had all fluids changed. It has always been adult driven (I’m 50+), kept in a garage and never driven in the winter or in the rain. It has open Magnaflow exhaust, a mild Bama tune, ’95 Cobra R wheels (wide in the rear), like new tires (which show no abuse), many billet interior accessories, color changing LED headlights, cold air intake, Steeda Triax short throw shifter, upgraded 3:73 rear end gears with high strength/cooling differential cover, stainless steel Mustang rocker panel covers, some billet decor under the hood and other minor removable cosmetic add-ons. There is one very small door ding and one other door ding that is significant and even chipped the paint… otherwise the paint looks amazing and the black leather interior looks great as well, every once in awhile I even smell “new car” when I hop in. Always had good floor mat covers, so the carpet and mats look like new. The AC works terrific and will freeze you out of the car! The original factory premium radio/cassette/CD player works and sounds great! There is absolutely nothing mechanicaly wrong with this car… it is totally ready to go! Original clutch is in good condition and it goes into all 5 gears nicely! This extremely well built, efficient, powerhouse of an engine gets a surprising 26 miles per gallon! I have tons of magazines and documentation that accompany this rare collectable car, including the SVT document!
