I am either looking to sell or find a solution to fix this jewel.
You can see from the pictures this vehicle is in near showroom condition after all these years. Not so much as a door ding. I bought it about 2 years ago from someone who kept meticulous care and kept every service record since new, always garage kept and perfectly maintained.
Unfortunately the milage is 240K as it has a lot of highway miles. The engine was replaced in 2013 and it has a total of about 170K miles on it.
The other day a freak and terrible thing happened.
The drivers camshaft broke into two and my trusted mechanic tells me you can’t buy one of those and to find and replace the engine is more costly than I am looking to spent as much as I LOVE driving this classic Lexus. I am approached and confronted in parking lots by people who owned this model Lexus and miss it desperately and ask me if I am ready to sell it, to which I always said “no”.
I have maintained any and everything this Lexus needed which in the last two years has only been a battery and a set of
Michelin tires with less than 500 miles on them. I will be happy to sell it to someone who can solve this sad puzzle.
