We’ve been socked-in with some awful smoke here in Boise from all the wildfires raging across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. At this point, I don’t even know how many acres have been burned or what the estimated cost of damage is, but I know it’s up there and still climbing. It’s incredibly sad, especially for those that have lost their homes and businesses. Most of the news reports have focused on those loses, but we are just starting to get reports of classic cars being lost in these fires as well and here is the first photo we have seen so far of any classics caught in the path of the fires. This 1957 Ford Sunliner was parked next to some type of warehouse outside of Chelan, Washington. While it actually looks to have fared the fire better than the building did, I’m sure it has suffered some damage. It still looks salvageable though, so hopefully it will be saved! This might actually be one case where the car was better off being left outside. Let’s just hope these fires can be contained and put out before any more homes, barns, or classic cars are destroyed! Thanks to Fred W for letting us know about the story here on Fox News.
