1967 Ford Mustang S Code 390 GT 4-Speed

1967 Ford Mustang Raven Black

This 1967 Ford Mustang GT in Raven black with a black interior is a stunning driver that you can own for a bid price north of $47,500. With 62 bidders to compete with, if you are interested, be prepared. If you do win the auction, the car is located in Gratiot, Wisconsin. A VIN is listed for the car but the mileage is listed as 101, which is vague. You can view more here on eBay.

A picture showing the build specifications according to the VIN proves that this Mustang is a true S code. It comes with a 390 cubic-inch V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission. The photo provided shows the beast. This seller also provides a number of underbody photos. There is very little rust on the underside of this car. If restoration is your goal, this is a stunning candidate.

While the interior is part of the attraction of the car, upon closer inspection you can see that the driver seat has black duct tape to hide the fact that the upholstery is torn. The driver’s side door armrest is also in poor shape. Everything else appears to be in respectable condition. A little bit of interior cleaner and vacuuming and this car will be good to go, except for needing a new seat.

The only drawback to this car is the paint. It is not in the best condition. That will be an expensive project. Although, if you are not too concerned about that, you can leave it as is. Another option is to wrap it. That can help preserve the overall condition of the car and give you a more refined look to match the performance. But since there are so many options, you can decide the best way to go. If you look at everything as a whole, in terms of price per condition, this Mustang is starting to look more and more worthwhile. Compared to pulling a rusted shell, sourcing new and used parts, and putting it all together, time is money. How valuable is your time?

That photo is almost certainly in Utah or Colorado, not Wisconsin. Just sayin’

You’ve never been to the Wisconsin Alps? They’re close to the Minnesota Sierras!

I’m somewhat amazed at the price. The engine compartment will need some improvement to be correct. Try to find the correct air cleaner. The shifter is after market and the interior needs work. I’m not saying it’s not worth it because apparently it was to someone. I’m just surprised

Desirable? Sure. Fun driver? Yes. Near $50k? Nope!

That’s wishful thinking. I do wish you were right. Almost bought a small block fastback in 1977 but my step dad talked me out of it (curse him. Lol) and I’ve loved them ever since. The prices they command now tell me that owning one will probably never be a feasible thing. Maybe if I sold my house and moved into a travel trailer. Hahahaha.

In 1977 a friend of mine had the same car in red. I was a skinny 170 pound 21 year old. Not going to fit in that back seat today at 220. I felt like I needed a chiropractor, after just an hour ride. Not worth anything close to $48K.

390 cars are commanding a premium as you saw it sold for 48,100. Black on black cars especially.

It’s worth what someone will pay and we are seeing rust buckets with parts missing, not running with small blocks and automatics that people what $20k for them!! What’s it worth to get in it and drive with a big block and a 4 speed????
