The Monterey Jet Center houses one of the premier events of Auto Week each year on Wednesday evening. The McCall Motorworks Revival hosts approximately 3,000 guests at the event that is catered by local restaurants and wineries. Event sponsors include major automobile manufacturers, private aircraft builders as well as Breitling. The combination of automobiles, military aircraft, and motorbikes can often leave you speechless when trying to describe this event to friends at home!
Hobnobbing at the Jet Center. I’d be more interested in the cars…
A4 Skyhawk. Cool, but what is that hiding back there behind the plane? Hmm…
Porsche 904 GTS looking good.
Shelby Cobra with an American flag in the background. Doesn’t get much more patriotic than that!
wow Now that would have been an Afternoon of Serious Entertainment!!!
Looks like the port wing of a P51D next to the A4 Skyhawk. What gets more patriotic than a Shelby Cobra built with a British chassis and an American engine? A P51 Mustang with an American airframe and a Rolls Royce designed, Packard built Merlin engine.
Good one Chris!
~ autos, aircraft, bikes, locally catered fresh food and wine.
hhmmm, how to get on the guest list?
Well, said Chris. You took the words out of my mouth. Don’t know what it was, but the packard built Merlins, (Allisons), could never seem to match the RR built Merlins in unlimited hydroplane racing.
Could that be a shelby Daytona behind the Skyhawk?
