I am an original owner of a 1986 Mustang SVO. This limited-production, specialty-equipped vehicle was produced by Ford’s Special Vehicle Operations from 1984 thru 1986. I am also the author of “Mustang SVO – The Machine Speaks for Itself”. This book covers the unique and interesting history of the Mustang SVO from its inception to its demise in April of 1986. I also contributed a 3000-word article in the December 2015 issue of Collectible Automobile®. I have also published many newsletters through the enthusiast group which I founded in 1989; this group is known as the Mustang SVO Owners Association.
