Barn Finds in Carson City

Barn Finds in Carson City

One of the major issues with buying a barn find can be trying to get the title, which quite often has been lost for decades. And as the years go by the chance of the title still being around goes down exponentially, making it incredible that the seller of these nearly 100 year old classics still has all the titles. I’m sure they are recently reissued titles, but the fact that the seller has already gone through the headache of getting titles saves you bought time and money! The list of cars for sale includes a 1929 Packard 4 door, a 1927 Buick 4 door, a 1925 Whippet, and a 1928 Hupmobile. They all need full restorations, but they would all make for interesting projects. Find them here on craigslist in Carson City, Nevada. Which one of these antiques would you save? Thanks Robert R for this tip!

I looked at these cars early last fall………if I wasn’t going to spend this fall in Europe, I would own the Packard.

My grandfather had a whippet nearly identical to that one. Shame it’s the one that’s already sold

I would love to have any of theSe. The only problem is assuming you could find all of the parts, once you restore it there really isn’t much you can do with it. Not really practical or safe in modern traffic. They are pretty much just yard art or museum pieces. if I was to get one, I would throw some new rubber 9n it, get it running and enjoy the look and smell of it.

I see 4 1/2 cars in the pic. And none of them do much for me. Cool to look at as is or restored. But nothing I would own.
