This Dodge truck looks to be in pretty good shape, but there are some big issues. For one, it doesn’t run. Secondly, the title is missing. They state the title is lost, so perhaps they had it titled in their name at one time and could still get a replacement? It’s definitely something you’ll want to check into, but at the $800 asking price it seems like it would be worth the time to check. It’s a step side short bed truck after all! So can you find another D100 that’s a better deal? Have a look at this one first here on eBay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That’s a good one and a good price. If I had the extra money I would hit the buy it now.
Believe it or not that engine is still salvageable even if there are parts missing. If the cylinder bores are in good condition, ie still round with not to much ridge at the top. Than it can be litely honed and reassembled with fresh gaskets, seals, rings, and a fresh set of bearing shells ( provided the crank is still in spec. ) I’d pop a fresh head on it as well. Option TWO would be to ditch that 6 cylinder engine and drop in a fresh 318 CID. The paint almost looks like it could be polished back. I like this better than rmward194’s post because it is a short box step side with no rust and in the end way cooler, and for sure rarer than the fleet side truck. Every one and their dog has a fleet side. Nice find.

Are those tail lights stock?
Does it need the extra 2 cylinders? I believe there is ways of making the slant 6 a lot more fun and they are bullet proof. Worked at a garage servicing big dodge taxi’s and they all had slant 6, Always had two rebuilt in stock for a weekend change out. They all did 150k miles plus
That one sure looks like it had a US Air Force background. There were approximately 236,718 of these at Nellis in the 80s.
Despite the issues it is a deal. Especially if you were in the rust belt trying to build or restore one.
The step side bed is interesting. He doesn’t show but Chrysler changed the bed floor from a wood floor to a ribbed steel floor like on a Fleet side. These were only available a few years.
The no title issue won’t be a problem for those in no title states prior to 1980. Dunno, maybe throw the guy a few bucks to find or obtain the original.
The truck is in fantastic shape. Shipping from Vegas should only be around $750-$900. Regardless. Needs saved. 1000’s like it were lost in the scrap metal boom. Vintage Dodges with little to no rust or damage are getting hard to find. This is a great find and great price.
Maybe he’s already tried, however, I would think he could list it on his local CL and sell it for $700 just like that. That wiring sure is a mess, but if the body is as solid as the seller states it’s a bargain for sure. Engine is no big challenge. Having the original gearshift knob intact after 36 years is pretty incredible.
