Exclusive: 1978 Dodge Lil’ Red Express

Few trucks are as cool as Dodge’s Lil’ Red Express. The stying was over the top, performance was impressive for the times, and you just can’t beat a name like Lil’ Red Express! Reader Felix C has decided to part ways with this beautiful truck. It’s located in Mount Holly, New Jersey and is ready to cruise. If you’d love to give it a good home, please contact him via the form below.

What Makes It Special? Only a limited number of these pickups were built, this model was the quickest thing on the road at the time. The truck has been refinished and there are no signs of prior accidents of rust repair. Everything works, radio, wipers, gauges etc. This is a really good driver quality truck and a perfect candidate for those weekend shows. This truck was purchased for my wife who adored the truck but all she did was sit in it once in a while. It sat parked in my barn for the past year. I turned the key the other day it fired right up!

Body Condition: Very clean body, no dents, scratches or signs of rust. The frame is clean with only some surface rust in places. Overall a very nice truck.

Mechanical Condition: Runs very smooth and strong.

Nice, but I would rather have the Warlock! It’s even nicer in my opinion!

Nice truck. Looks original, except for rims, tonneau cover, wrong tach, trailer hitch.
Redo the wood, the rest of the stuff is easy to fix.
I once read that less than 20 Lil Red’s were sold with AC. These suckers have such a nice exhaust sound, we drive around with the windows down all the time in ours.

This is a very nice one, 1978 is the year to buy coz no emissions at all. Next 1979 had catalitics/air pumps etc.
