I’m sure we’ve all been in a similar situation as Reader Axel O. He found this Mercedes E320 after hunting for the perfect one, but shortly after getting it, life threw him a curveball. It was the good kind of curveball, but unfortunately, it means he is going to have to find a new home for this beautiful convertible. Having been a long time reader, he thought one of his fellow readers might want it! If you have any questions about it or would like to make him an offer, please use the form below to contact him!
What Makes It Special? I have been looking for this 1995 last model year car in this color combo and beautiful condition for while. Same goes for the idea of a new life companion. Found both! Turns out, the convertible is looking for a new caring home. I am getting married this summer and the car has to go asap.
Body Condition: Wonderful condition all around. No fading in the paint. New run flat tires. Reconditioned original OEM wheels. New hydraulic pumps for the roof last summer. Rebuilt transmission last year. I have changed the front blinkers for the to my eyes more appealing Euro version. I still have the originals. Same goes for tail lights.
Mechanical Condition: Car has a new battery, everything works well including seat belt delivery arms.
Axel’s Mercedes really does look to be in immaculate condition. These are very nice cars to drive and I’m sure this one will be a dream for its next owner. I want to thank him for listing it with us and to congratulate him on his upcoming wedding!

I’ve owned 5 of these over the last 15 years. Every time I sell one, a short time later, I regret it and look for another one. Recently I bought one with 59k miles and all the typical problems corrected for $15.4 which based on a long search seems market correct. They have well known problems with wiring harnesses and engine oil leaks besides the top mechanisms. The one here appears to be a beautiful one but for the mileage the price is much too high.
28K? It’s not a 500E
Isn’t this an E320?!
I’m guessing he’s only has / allowed two parking spots in his New York complex and is going to have a third when the new wife moves in ? Kinda of a shame not to be able to keep the convertible for those nice winter nights in Dec.
Transmission rebuilt at 50000 miles? What happened?
That’s a sweet ride. Wish it was on the west coast so my mechanic could inspect it. Definitely too expensive. Lots of better options out there at that price. Plus, as evidenced by the repairs, any exotic car in this realm can be a $ black hole. It would have to be inexpensive to allow for that. Maybe $19-$20k.
a 300ce what’s so special about those?
