EXCLUSIVE: Williams Collection Update

A while back we featured the estate of Michael Williams and his collection of classic cars. Well, I just heard from his Mother, Yvonne, and she is in a serious bind. Five of the cars are currently being stored on a piece of land in Freehold, New Jersey and the owner of the land needs the cars gone ASAP! She’s had lots of interest in some of the other cars, but so far no one has bought any of the ones that need to go. So Yvonne asked for our help to see if anyone could come buy them right away. She is asking just $1,000 OBO per car, so if you have been on the hunt for an affordable classic or a could parts car and you can come in the next 10 days to pick it up, this could be a great chance to get something! Due to the sheer number of emails she received last time, she has asked me to handle communication and negotiations, so be sure to send me a message via the form below.

We’ve already gone into detail about several of the cars, except for this 1971 Pontiac Grand Ville and what appears to be a 1970 Buick Electra Convertible. She doesn’t know much about either of these cars other than that they are projects and sadly she doesn’t have any additional photos of them. The Grand Ville clearly needs paint, but it doesn’t look to be in terrible condition. The Electra Convertible looks to be in worse shape, with rust in the fenders and who knows what other issues. The other cars that are sitting out here include the 1972 Cadillac Coupe DeVille project, the 1973 Buick Electra 225 and the 1975 Buick Electra 225. And given the time crunch, Yvonne is willing to take less, so when you message me please include which car(s) your interested in with you best offer!

Asking Price: $1,000 OBO per car
Location: Freehold, New Jersey

From the photos, there is a lot of potential here whether it be for restoration or parts donors. I’ve actually owned 3 of the vehicles listed (not these specifically) and they bring back very good memories. I sincerely hope that folks step up to the plate. Not only to help out the seller but also to grab a piece of automotive history before it disappears….

I’m kinda surprised…..no “Larry comment” about how I “know EVERYTHING” ?….BTW Larry…..about the blender….Hamilton Beach. Used one for over 15 years and it has not let me down !

Here’s the link to the previous listing. If I have the way and means I’d be glad to adopt that Pontiac… No funds at the present. :( http://barnfinds.com/exclusive-michael-williams-collection/

Depending on condition, that red 225 convertible would go like a flash at $1000. If I were her, I would include more photos and more information on that car specifically.

The hardtops would make good demolition derby cars.

1000 or best offer for each car? I don’t know about that. I got a very different answer. The prices I was told from the lady were very different. 20k asking price for that blue Oldsmobile sedan which if it happened, would be a world record. She said she already had a 13,500 offer on it. That is when I figured there are too many secrets and to much going back and forth in this deal. It took me 20 minutes just to get an asking price from her on all of the cars. Nothing was even close to only 1000. I would pick up that Olds tomorrow and at least 5 others but not for 20k. She seems like a nice friendly lady but she is also very misinformed on the value of these cars. It’s a shame because I would like to save many of these cars but 20k? Come on. I wish I could just get a straight answer and make something happen here. The cars are not far from me.

What is he price on the red Buick convt. shown in the photographs. I might be interested but it depends on the price. I’ve got the money and ability to have it moved. If the thousand dollar price is the beginning bid on that vehicle, where is the price at now?
I don’t want to play games…just give me the price, if it’s reasonable, I’ll buy it.

If I wasn’t on the other side of the country, I’d buy the Grandville in a heartbeat! I had a 72 Grandville in my youth, and absolutely love that car. And 1971 they only made a thousand or so of them, including hardtops and four doors. I wonder what condition it really is in? 🤔

Josh, is it my understanding that we are to email you direct to try and buy the cars? Again, just so we are all on the same page, none of these cars were 1000 a week ago. Is that Olds one of the 1000 cars because last week it was 20000. Those Buicks and Cadillacs were high priced as well. It looks like I am not the only one who is having a hard time buying a car from this collection….
