No Reserve Short Bed: 1982 Chevrolet C10 Silverado

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

It is nice to see a clean short bed C-10 up for sale. Many of the ones that I have looked at have seen better days but this one appears to be a clean little truck. It is listed here on eBay with the auction ending on Monday night. The bidding has reached $6,200 and only 9 bids have been placed. This 1982 Chevrolet C-10, located in Spanaway, Washington, is the Silverado edition so it is nicely optioned.

The tan interior looks very nice. The seat and carpet must have been replaced recently because they appear new. The Silverado came with power windows and locks and this truck appears to have tilt steering also. The power windows are said to run slow but that could be an issue with the ground wire. The body is said to be in good condition with just a few dents. I don’t see any visible rust. The truck bed has a plastic liner so it is hard to tell what it looks like under the liner.

The original engine appears to have been replaced with a 350 cubic inch V8 with an aluminum intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor. The engine is mated to a column mounted automatic transmission. The truck still rides on its original Rally wheels and the tires are said to be almost new.

There were many C-10 pickups built by Chevrolet and I have always liked the 1982 grill with the stacked headlights. This truck is probably not ready for any shows but it looks honest and is not hard to work on. The seller states that the Silverado has approximately 125,000 miles. Who is with me and likes this clean, single cab C-10 Silverado?

Nice truck. BF’s seems to have become the self proclaimed “Sguare Body” experts. Priced right for a change, although, that carb and manifold will make that truck stumble and fart like a drunk on payday under 40 degrees. Kind of funny, the other day, I went to a store, parking lot empty, when I came out , the lot was filled with new Explorers, Highlanders, and such. It was pretty obvious which was my truck, stuck out like a sore thumb. That’s kind of fun.

Is that not a set of Vortec heads on the engine?
They’d wake it up and improve the gas mileage too! Maybe it’s a crate engine replacement?

Those are not Vortec heads, the intake bolt pattern is for generic center bolt heads.

Nice truck and I like the color combo, but distance and no a/c takes me out of the “Potential buyers” group. I hope whoever buys it will neaten up those plug wires though.

With only two items sold, it doesn’t mean much.
