Reader Marc G spotted what appears to be two abandoned classics in Quepos, Costa Rica and thought his fellow Barn Finders would enjoy seeing them! It goes to show, you never know when or where you will spot something interesting, so always be on the lookout.
From Marc – Found these when I took a wrong turn here in Quepos, Costa Rica. Both are in a bad state but I just can’t hold myself when finding cool classics anywhere in the world. I wonder how they made it down here? I’ll be in Quepos for another day, so let me know if you’d like me to go back for more photos.

That’s actually a four door Rebel SST. 1969? Weren’t many of those built. Not many classics down here that I’ve seen, except a ton of old Toyota FJ types.
I had a 69 Rebel back in the day that I paid $200.00 for..I was homeless @ the time, and it was my mobile house at the time.
Taunus 17M,I believe.

It looks like the AMC might be someone’s home.
The Rebel may have been assembled in Mexico or at an AMC assembly point in South America.
I had a Taunus like that when I lived in Germany. I left it in a parking lot with the keys in it when I left 45 years ago.
Ramblers were assembled in Costa Rica at around the time this was new. a friend of mine buys , restores and sells VW Combis in San Geronimo, Costa Rica. He has a patient family.
