This Camaro has a lot going for it! Besides being a dusty barn find, it’s a Z/28 with a 4 speed. That’s a great combo if you ask me! I’d rather have it in black or a bright color, but brown works. There’s just one problem though, this car has some water damage issues. We featured another ’78 Camaro that came out of the same barn, but being a Z/28 makes this one far more desirable. Find it here on eBay in Toms River, New Jersey with bidding just over $1,500.

I like it brown is not a bad colour
Never could get reved up over camaros or trans am
Moter wasn’t drained after flood 3 years ago. New Jersey freezes in winter, so who knows what that could look like.
What a shame there is water damage to an otherwise interesting car.
|Well a chocolate brown might be OK, forgetting the other issues. But this is too much like a beige Volvo. Ya know what I mean. Think black with a red interior or white with red int. or maybe yellow with tan.
I’ll fix rust, I’ll fix dents, I’ll repaint, repair, and replace…But I draw the line at flooded cars. Unless you’re willing to completely strip the vehicle and go back with all new electrics / carpets / seats, etc… you’ll never get rid of the gremlins. And this one just isn’t worth it.
Yep. Tom’s River isn’t that far from the coast, so I’m suspecting the ‘fresh water’ was mixed with a little salt. Hurricane Sandy drove sea water pretty far inland. I think this poor thing is too far gone at any price.
Replacing the seats and carpet isn’t much, it’s the wiring that’s the killer. I’m no body man, but rewiring everything is just as bad.
On a more desirable car, people would do it, but unless you just had to have a Z28 like this and you had a complete parts car to swap around with, it’s still not worth it.
someone got a great deal, that’s a $20,000 fixed. many fond bmx memories of toms river :)
