Stellar Style: 1950 Ford F3

1950 Ford F-3

When Ford introduced the F-Series truck, they hit one out of the park, well at least in my book. I think the design them came up with was absolutely stellar! Just look at the front end of this truck, it has a great look to it. While I would be happy with the half ton F-1, I wouldn’t complain about having this 3/4 ton F-3! It’s an old farm truck that was parked in a barn some time in the ’70s. The seller has already done most of the work to make it a nice driver, including installing a fresh flathead V8! It still needs some interior work and the exterior needs a little attention, but boy would this be a nice truck to have. Find it here on eBay in Ottumwa, Iowa with a somewhat ambitious opening bid of $6k.

Nice truck. Maybe a little pricy but nice none the less. Maybe this one belonged to Radar’s Uncle Ed.

Sellers like this need to learn to start the bidding at a low price,
with a reserve. Most people won’t bid that high initially.
Still my kind of truck – steel bumpers,no cup holders, airbags,or
    screen on the dash.

What? No cup holders? No screen?

I’ve got a 1950 F1. Tried to sell it last year and the highest it got to was $8000 on e-bay. It’s in better condition than this one. Good luck.

Ford hit 2 grand slams in less than two years: the F-series truck and the Shoebox car. I wouldn’t turn either of them down. Good-looking and functional. Back in the day I didn’t care too much about that whining crash box, but today I actually like it.

I’m amazed. A 159 word sentence with no punctuation till the period at the end. I’m not really a grammar nazi, but there is a limit there somewhere….

Don’t forget about all the misspelled words, too. I see more and more ads that folks write without any regard to punctuation or correct spelling. It’s really sad.
