This 1994 Dodge Viper RT/10 is painted Viper Bright Yellow and located in Boca Raton, Florida and has 1 day remaining in the auction. After 23 bids, the car is currently bid to $31,100 and is listed here on eBay . The Viper is equipped with Dodge’s V10 engine and 6 speed manual transmission. The car’s odometer shows only 14,155 miles and the AutoCheck report reflects 4 previous owners and not accidents.
It is amazing to me that this car every made it to market. It always seemed like an awesome prototype that would never make it to market. However, to Dodge’s credit, they produced it and it had a great run. This 1994 Viper RT/10 is equipped with an aluminum 8.0 liter V10 engine that was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 480 lb ft of torque. By today’s standards, that might not be the top of the heap but in this light weight car it is a blast to drive.
The interior of the car is mint. the grey leather seats and black carpet look new and it probably smells like a showroom car. This first generation is sought after by enthusiasts. This example has factory air conditioning which cost the original owner $1,200. I believe that 1994 was the first year for this option on a Viper. Documentation that comes with the sale includes the factory owner’s manual and Monroney window sticker.
The seller states that less than 100 examples of the 1994 Dodge Viper were painted in Viper Bright Yellow. This car was said to have a top speed of 165 mph and was equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes to bring it to a stop. This car should bring more than its current bid and may top $40,000. After 27 years, this car only has been driven about 500 miles per year which is about right to make sure everything is functional. It will be fun to see what the final bid is on this unique low mileage Viper.
Check the tires for burn outs and the front spoiler that always got nailed from driving up driveways from the street. This model has been increasing in value of the years. Some of these Vipers with low miles got the hell beat out of them but look fine. Service records are a big plus.
The seller says the condition is “Very Good”
I have a 95 that is nearly identical. Be careful Gen 1 Vipers can bite, outta control quickly.
SOLD for $36,100.
