1941 Dodge Sedan With A Lake View

Now we are not encouraging anyone to go out and buy this, but when reader Doug M sent us a link to this waterlogged 1941 Dodge, we knew we had to feature it. We have seen some interesting classifieds over the years, but this one has to be near the top. It is located IN Newman Lake, Washington and as you can see, there may be some corrosion issues…

In the seller’s own words, “PRETTY INTERESTING OLD CAR–MOST ALL CHROME INTACT—SHE IS NOT SWIMMING @ THIS MOMENT—BIG RESTORATION PROJECT–SHE CAN BE RED WITH LOTS OF CHROME….BEEN MY LAWN ORNAMENT FOR LOTS OF YEARS…WILMA”. Do we need to say more?

I think it will probably be needing a bigger water pump.

Why are there no photos of the interior or the engine?

A little more effort from the seller would be good , if he wants to ‘move this car ??

Unless this is HIS lake, i’d like some (serious, and not water damaged) documentation from the seller
    OR
it’s free to anyone dragging it out of the lake, no ??

I’m surprised no one has written ” just get running and drive as is “

Yes! as submitter of this wacky link, I am an older guy that has been playing with classic cars all my life, and I have NEVER seen one as bizarre as this! and it is seriously “for sale!” …no explanation of how it got there, who used to drive it, or anything.. just casually listed “for sale!?!” …Maybe we should check the trunk, as I see Jimmy Hoffa leads starting to surface again! …also, @ John Kelly’s comment is my favorite!

My concern is that perhaps, back in the day, it was driven in the rain……
