1955 Chevrolet Wagon: Style And Space

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Wagon

It’s easy to see why GM called the freshly redesigned ’55 Bel Air the “Hot One”! The clean lines, Ferrari inspired grille, and balanced proportions combined to make one of the best looking cars of the era. While the Nomad is the most desirable body styles, I wouldn’t mind having this 4 door wagon. It might not have all the style and visual features of the Nomad, but it still has that great wagon shape plus room to comfortably haul 5 passengers! This ’55 wagon is claimed to be a survivor, although it has had a respray in white sometime in its past. I would prefer it in its original Rio Red, but this sunbaked white has a nice patina. It has already been made to run, drive, and stop, so if you’d love to have a ’55 Chevy you can haul the family in you might want to take a closer look at this one here on eBay in Kansas City, Missouri.

I do think the eyebrows have been repaired though for the color change and it being a common rust area. It’s also rare not to have the tailgate hinge attachments rotted out. Do the mechanicals and razor blade off the white …

Although ’55 isn’t my favorite of the Tri-5s, I wouldn’t turn something like this down. Keep it as original as possible and just enjoy it.
