1963 Dodge Dart: Like New Survivor

This survivor Dodge Dart GT was sent in by reader Charles H. With only 22,863 miles showing, this Dodge is only barely broken in. Looking at the condition of the original paint, interior and even the chrome, this looks like a year-old used car. It’s located in Pikesville, Maryland and is for sale here on eBay with a buy-it-now price of $8,500 and bidding at $3,500. This is such a nice and clean looking car, it’s hard to believe it is for sale–I’m surprised it didn’t stay in whatever family took such nice car of it. I really like the styling and if I were in the market, I’d be looking seriously at this one. What do you think of this survivor?

That engine bay being black – is that right? – I think someone bought a pressure pack at Kmart when they got the pedal covers – doesn’t matter – going to a new home now

No, the under hood paint is wrong. Probably thought they were improving it but made it worse. I see some “Kid Stuff” mischief going on here. Tail pipe ornament, and peddles give it away.

Wow!! That’s 1 clean looking MOPAR….kinda makes me
wonder if there’s anymore collectibles hiding in that Estate…just sayin’…

I would love the hear the backstory on this one. I would bet this was Mom’s car and she only used it when Dad was not around with his Chrysler.

I will never fault some one for trying to detail something for sale
However the overspray on the temp sender , a dead giveaway. Fire wall would be body color. My dad’s ’63 had a black blower etc.
Really nice car. A little careful resto could be a real gem.
Take it apart, clean it and do some research before just spraying with the rattle can.
    It is important.

Yea you guys are all right ! It should have been left alone. Wow what a nice car. I would have been tempted myself being close buy. The way it was detailed was grandmas grand son trying to help out.

Gawd, what is the world coming to?? I remember being mortified when my Dad bought a ’65 Dodge Dart with a slant six and three on the tree . . . and my life got worse when my Simca croaked and I had to actually drive and be seen in that old Mopar! Get it away, away, as far away from me as possible!!

Too bad the auction was ended. It would have been nice to see what this went for, imperfections that have been pointed out here and all.

Had one just like this, even the same color. Bought it some time in the late 60s for $750. Wish I had it now. Nice looking car.

This was the first 100% pleasing style Chrysler turned out in four years!
