1964 MG Midget: Used, But Loved

1964 MG Midget

Let’s face it, classic car ownership can be expensive. Not only can they be pricy to buy, but they can get expensive to restore and maintain. But if you pick the right car you can actually get into the hobby quite affordably. It’s just a matter of buying a solid car to begin with that has a strong parts supply. Few classics are as cheap to buy and have the kind of parts supply that the MG Midget does! These fun little British roadsters can usually be had for a few thousand dollars and nearly every nut, bolt, and body panel is still being produced. They aren’t the fastest machines, but I can attest to their handling prowess and with a few upgrades can give lots of thrills! This ’64 Midget was restored once about 10 years ago, but has been parked and will need a cosmetic refreshing. The seller claims it currently runs and drives nicely, so hopefully all it needs to be enjoyed right away is a good cleaning and a tune up. You can find it here on eBay in Bloomfield, Connecticut with a Buy-It-Now of $2,700 and bidding starting at $1k. Special thanks to Jim S for this tip!

It’s a good thing my granddaughter who is getting her license shortly is 6’4″. Otherwise I’d be making a trip.
