1967 Mercury Cougar Survivor

left front

This original Cougar might have a few flaws, but what a great looking Mercury! It is listed here on craigslist and is in Sacramento, California. The asking price of $6,500 seems very reasonable, especially considering all the money he has spent on it.

1967 Mercury Cougar Interior

This Cougar is said to be dent and rust free. The seller lists an extensive list of repairs he has made to the brakes, fuel system, electrical system and drivetrain. If this cougar is as nice as it looks, it could be a nice driver. Perhaps one might repaint it, but I wouldn’t. I would enjoy it as it is! How about you?

Once again getting the Chinese characters on the CL listing, and this time no photos or description. Are the Chinese taking over CL?

I’m getting the same thing. I used to live in China so I thought some of my software was causing it. Now I know I’m not the only one

Where is your ISP located out of? Might help to get a VPN like Hola! and use Chrome so you can switch between any country. I live in Japan and when there is a Youtube video blocked by region, I just click Hola! and put my ISP in the US.

Gone! One suggestion that might help those readers getting Chinese Craigslist: Open up your local Craigslist and make sure its in English. Maybe it will carry over to when you click a link.

I clicked on the little CL in the upper right corner of the ad, and changed the language to English. It seems to work. (The CL is circled).

That was dirt cheap for a 4 speed car. What engine did it have in it?
I cannot even get to a craiglist ad, api viglink takes over, and then the web page cannot be found.

I’ve been getting the Chinese symbols for awhile, I hit the translate button and it goes to English but I seem to have to do this every time I visit Craigslist anymore on my PC. If I use my Ipad I don’t have this problem so I wonder if it’s a IE or Microsoft issue. Nice Cougar too bad it’s gone.

I am in Sacramento and also got the Chinese a few times up until about 1 week ago, so I did the CL change to English (top RH corner on the CL home page). Have not had an issue since.

@ Jesse – when I clicked on your link it came up first in Chinese and when translated said deleted by author
@ben With my listing in Chinese I clicked on the same place as I would in English and it re-posted my ad – maybe try it that way
