1969 Chevrolet Camaro Project

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

If you’ve been waiting for a 1969 Camaro project with all the right bones, this numbers-matching example might be exactly what you’ve been hunting for. Listed here on eBay, this original V8 coupe is stripped, media blasted, and ready to head straight to the body shop. With a clean title, matching engine, transmission, and rear end—all documented with date codes—this car represents a solid foundation to build your dream Camaro exactly how you want it. It’s located in a climate-controlled garage and comes with plenty of original parts and extras to get you started.

The seller has already done much of the heavy lifting, including having the body media blasted and treated with anti-corrosion inhibitor. The car remains mounted on a high-quality Jegs rotisserie with custom mounts, which is included in the sale. Interior support tubing was welded in prior to teardown to preserve the structure, and the photos show solid rockers, frame rails, and structural points, likely thanks to its Georgia origins.

The original 350 V8 is included and turns freely, though it wasn’t running when purchased. The engine comes mounted on a portable stand for easy transport. The matching automatic transmission and rear end are also accounted for, adding to the car’s collectibility and long-term value.

This is very much a blank canvas, but a well-prepared one. The interior is completely stripped, and a brand-new full floor pan with seat bases is included (still in the box). The horseshoe shifter and center console setup are present, and original reusable components were carefully stored, while worn or non-original parts were discarded.

Some parts like the front fenders and original glass were deemed unusable and scrapped, but what remains is well-documented. Crates and boxes of original parts come with the car, along with brand-new tires for easier transport. With a clean title, factory air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes, this was a well-equipped car from day one—and could be again.

Would you restore this 1969 Camaro to factory specs, or build your own take on classic American muscle?

Although the Camaro looks interesting I’d rather have the nova parked next to it.

That body style nova and really all 67 back novas have gotten ridiculous and what they’re bringing.

So many Camaros and Mustangs. Yes, the parts availability is great. But to be the same as everyone else? The part where you can see yourself coming down the street at you never excired me. I understand if there is an emotional history/connection to the type of car. But when at a car show and I see one. I appreciate the love, care and work that goes into it. But the cars or engines that are different are what draws me in. When a see a stock 1955 Chev convert. I stop and look and remember the good times and many miles I put on mine. BUT, been there, done that. I want to see something original. I think that’s why I spend alot of time looking at rat rods. I enjoy the imagination and resourcefulness used on most of them. Don’t get me wrong, I love a wonderful paint job and a supercharged straight six power plant. But to see a 1957 Belair or Camaro with an LS engine just doesn’t ring my chimes. (Although I would love the chance to drive it!) Part of the reason I skipped Hot August Nights this year. (First time ever!) Even a hot rodded Divco ex-milk truck holds more of my interest than a tri-five with a 327 4bbl. and 350 hydro. Am I the only one here like that?
