You know that phrase, “If these walls could talk?” Usually, it’s said in conjunction with a situation where you actually want to know what the walls would say. In the case of this 1976 Chevy G20 van here on craigslist, I’m fairly certain we don’t want to know a damn thing. Our imaginations can fill in the blanks of a ’70s-era van covered from panel to panel in shag carpeting. While I do like these vans, especially with the ridiculous factory fender flare and air dam kit, I’d need something closer to a clean slate. The seller claims he can’t find the time to work on it, but I suspect he’s more likely got a case of the heebie-jeebies. And before you ask, the couch isn’t included! Thanks goes to Olaf E for the tip. Be sure to take a look inside!

1976 Chevy G20 Van: Wall to Wall
Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.
Don’t turn on a black light, unless you are into horror!
being a 70’s child I have a soft spot for stuff like this..
But I would probably not keep it the way it is as to me it would need to be practical. why have a van that you cant use as a van!!!
looks really comfy
There were no flares & spoilers from any factory. They were all supplied by aftermarket companies.
Nasty then, nasty now.
Puts the h in hideous
Ran across one on my local Craigslist that would work well as a “blank canvas”, and it’s only $800- but it’s a ’92:

Youch! “Shag-gin” wagon, fer sure!
The inside hurts my eyes!
Chick-a-chick-A!
I always wanted to build a shaggin wagon. My dream was either a black/deep blue Mopar or GMC big block 440 or 454 powered van with the deepest wheels and widest tires N-50-15 in rear G-60 15 in front, side pipes of chrome, no mufflers big cam and gears with a 4 speed maybe a blower too. Of course my vision for the exterior would be back or deep blue custom paint with an airbrushed motif, something with wizards, LED Zeppelin, or outer space, like planets and galaxys, maybe even the beach scape of a strange alien planet. Inside would be the best vintage Alpine and Nakamichi audio, custom seating and carpeting with a bed and fridge, wet bar full hesitant A/C, and captains chairs with deep pile ( not shag) everywhere with nothing bare, plus strategic placed direct and indirect lighting ( led strips would be perfect if in contrasting colors). I think I know what my next project will be. With any luck maybe Barn Finds will help me find my dream hot rod van. Anybody want to trade a shaggin wagon for a mint SLT 4X4 Durango 4.7 HO?
