Seeing the show cars on the lawn at Pebble Beach is quite a thrill, but seeing/hearing/smelling them in action is something altogether different. Each year approximately 160 of the Pebble Beach Concours show cars go on a 50 mile drive down Highway 1 to Big Sur and back. The event takes place on Thursday and starts at about 9am. It’s also the first time many of the cars are seen as they are unloaded from their transporters. It’s a morning that many look forward to each year. After their drive, the participants park their cars on Ocean Avenue while they attend a luncheon in the park. It’s a great time to see the cars in a casual setting.

Your killing me man.
Could anything be more beautiful than the Talbot? You’re making me drool with some of these. Would love to know the value of some of these luscious candies. What are the most expensive? What might be affordable…. anything? Keep the pics coming guys.
The only burgundy Mercer T35 I’ve ever seen actually or in pictures is the late Ken Purdy’s restoration from the earl 1950’s. Spectacular cars, Leno has a good Jay’s Garage piece on the Mercer T35.
