Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

The owner claims this is a 20K mile car, but they are only asking $3,000 for it.  He wants you to call to get the history though. There are only posted three images with none of underside, interior, or engine bay, so a call is in order if you are interested in this air-cooled unit. Find it here here on craigslist in Rockford, Illinois for $3K.

The seller claims that he is selling the car to pay a vet bill.  There is only one quarter size rust spot on the whole car and two small dings on a fender.  Again, no images of these provided.  This is an automatic and it is claimed to be getting 25 mpg.  You will also get two boxes of parts, manuals and parts catalogs with this purchase.  The engine is said to be rebuilt but we don’t now when or how many miles are on it since the rebuild.  The owner states this Corvair sat in a barn for 30+ years.  If all is as stated, it might be a good buy?

Cheers,
Robert

Well, nothing sells cars better than puppies or little children. 85-90 on the highway? In a 50 year old Corvair, good grief! Maybe worth a look, if you are a Corvair nut. Sure could use more info. Looks nice for the money, though.

85-90 in a Corvair, hell I’m watching every gauge on the dash and every other driver within a mile doing 75 in our Mach1 on the interstate and it has all new steering / suspension and drivetrain. Like all the politicians in my old home state of Illinois take their word as very suspicious while hanging on to your wallet.

The seller must be from Canada, and the 85 to 90 is kilometres per hour…

Rebuilt engine on a 20k car. Doesn’t sound right. If he had it rebuilt he isn’t making much on the sale.
