The interior has been stripped but I prefer that because you can see the floorboards are solid except for one place below the accelerator pedal. The seller states that the car is a California car with a clean title. It has been stored indoors for at least the last 5 years. When it comes to the interior, what you see is what you get because there are no other interior parts that go with the car. With that said, most of the interior can be sourced with reproduction pieces. The buyer will have to source seat frames but at least you know that it is a project. The seller states that all the chrome trim, lights and grill go with the car.
The second generation of the Charger was produced from 1968 through 1970 and has a large appeal among muscle car enthusiasts. The seller states that it is a complete car (except for the interior). The original drivetrain is said to be in the car which is a 440 cubic inch V8 engine backed by a 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The 440 Magnum V8 engine was rated at 375 horsepower.
The car has rust in the trunk and lower sections of the quarter panels. The Charger is being sold in as-is condition and there may be some rust discovered when removing the black vinyl top. With the popularity of second-generation Chargers, I would expect this car to sell soon but it might not sell at the asking price given the car’s needs.

So, the car needs work and isn’t regularly driven? Understatement of the year. 27k but extra for the 440? Put down the pipe! Who needs an interior, just bolt a milk crate to the floor and hit the road. Sorry about the cynicism but, c’mon where is this worth 27k?
The phrase “all original” definitely loses some luster when applied to a car like this with so many needs, but if it’s true, it does tell you that you won’t have to undo anybody else’s mistakes.
Looking at the VIN, the matching number engine is a 318. I don’t know where the R/T came from, or the idea that a 440 is the matching number engine for the car, but not even close.
That’s funny, I have never seen a 440 with the distributor in the back.
