52k-Mile Survivor: 1990 Toyota Pickup 4×4

As vehicles from the 1980s and 1990s earn more recognition, even practical and somewhat commonplace models fetch a pretty penny in survivor quality condition. Toyota’s various compact pickup truck models hold their value extremely well, especially because many of them served as workhorses due to their durable and reliable nature. However, that’s not the case with this 1990 Toyota Pickup 4×4 that’s available here on eBay, which is a very fine example of the rugged compact truck.

This Toyota is available in Berea, Kentucky with a clean title. The seller is the third owner of the truck, noting that the original owner willed it to his son after his passing. Both of them took excellent care of the truck, with the father only adding 25,000 miles to the odometer, and the son adding 27,000 over the pickup’s lifetime.

The exterior of the truck is in remarkable shape, with no rust whatsoever. There was a small dent on the passenger quarter panel, but the seller hired a paintless dent removal service to correct it. Additionally, the seller includes a pair of running boards with the pickup’s sale.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find an incredibly well-preserved interior. Everything works as it should, and from the pictures provided, it looks like it’s in showroom condition.

There’s a 3.0-liter 3VZ-E V6 engine under the hood, which pairs to an automatic transmission and a 4-wheel-drive system. The drivetrain only has 52,325 miles on it, and the seller notes that it drives like new.

At the time of publishing this article, bidding for this pickup is at $12,500 with the reserve not met. What do you think about this beautiful Toyota truck?

Bought a new red 1990 Toyota 4×4 pickup but with the 22R four cylinder, 5 speed and regular cab. I thought the $13K sticker price was exorbitant since I’d paid half that for my ’82 Toyota pickup. Put 200K trouble-free miles on both. Great little trucks!

Ho Hum,ANOTHER Toyota that’ll go for big bucks.
I’m tired of seeing these.I’d be interested if they were
reasonably priced, but I know that those days are gone
    for now.
How many of these are actually bought to be used
    like a truck?

How many of these new sixty thousand dollar trucks get used like trucks ? I never thought I’d see the day when a new truck cost as much as a new Corvette, what a friggin joke.

Remember that KY is one of 3 states that has “no lemon” laws. Beware.

I don’t think any state has a lemon law for used cars.

The small Toyota trucks are awesome, and where I live in Western Canada, that truck, because it is also a 4 wheel drive, would easily sell for that kind of money.
Just to demonstrate the difference in value of the brand name, I just bought a Nissan, in almost identical condition to this truck, for $2,500. Other than the fact that my Nissan Frontier is only a 4 banger, it is a wonderful truck.
I have owned several Toyota trucks, and fully understand why they hold their value so well.
It will be interesting to learn if it sells, and the sale price.

Nope, RNM at $13,100 top bid.

Really nice truck. But not $20K worth (or whatever was the expected price)
