56k Original Miles: 1995 Ford F-150 Short Bed 4×4

If you rewound the clock thirty years or so and boldly predicted that Ford’s F-Series range would be the highest-selling US vehicle in 2023, some may have questioned your sanity. However, with 750,789 vehicles rolling off showroom floors, there was a wide margin between it and the second-placed Chevrolet Silverado with 543,319. Ford undoubtedly sowed the seeds of success in the 1980s and 1990s, and this 1995 F-150 Short Bed 4×4 demonstrates that. Its crisp and clean styling has aged surprisingly well over the past twenty-eight years. It is a genuine survivor that has led a sheltered life, and with only 56,000 miles on the clock, it should offer its new owner years of reliable service. The F-150 is listed here on eBay in Midway, Utah. The seller set their BIN at $28,000 OBO on a Pickup that seems to need nothing.

Some badges appear on the automotive landscape, only to disappear a few years later. Ford introduced the original F-Series range to an eager buying public in 1948. It deserves a medal for longevity, with the Ninth Generation landing in showrooms in 1992. It remained available until 1998, with this F-150 rolling off the line in 1995. It presents beautifully in Bright Red, with its overall condition suggesting it has been treated respectfully and escaped the abuse that is common for any vehicle of this type. The paint shines like a mirror, and the panels are laser-straight. The bed is spotless, and the underside shots confirm this classic is rust-free. That is unsurprising, with the seller claiming this F-150 has never seen rain. The trim sparkles as beautifully as the paint, and the glass is spotless. Older Pickups can look tired and worn, but this one should draw crowds who will marvel at its appearance and condition.

Buyers could choose from five engines to power their new 1995 F-Series, with this Pickup’s original owner selecting the 5.8-liter V8. It sends 210hp and 325 ft/lbs of torque to the road via a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The company offered powerplants with more power and torque, but the 5.8 walked an excellent middle ground between outright performance and respectable fuel economy. The seller has been its custodian for around 2½ years, indicating the Pickup has a genuine 56,000 miles on the clock. They don’t mention verifying evidence, but the overall condition makes the claim seem plausible. They fitted an upgraded exhaust that improves the engine note, although it isn’t loud or intrusive. There is no concrete information on how this survivor runs or drives, but visual indications are that the news should be positive.

Most enthusiasts will agree that if you want to gain an insight into the type of life a classic Pickup has led, you need to examine the condition of the bed and interior. Opening the doors of this F-150 reveals a sea of Red trim, from the cloth on the seats to the dash, carpet, and door trims. There is slight wear on the outer driver’s seat edge, but no other problems to detract from its appearance. The plastic is excellent, the carpet is equally impressive, and nothing has succumbed to abuse or UV rays. There are no aftermarket additions and no shortage of creature comforts. The buyer receives a driver’s airbag, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power seat adjustment, cruise control, a tilt wheel, and an AM/FM stereo radio/cassette player.

Pickups remain the heroes of the classic market, and the 1995 Ford F-50 Short Bed 4×4 is no exception. Values climbed by around 4% across the range during 2023, and the trend shows no signs of easing. This one is a stunning survivor, and the new owner could slip behind the wheel, feeling total pride at its overall condition. The price isn’t pocket change, but it is competitive compared to recent sales results. I believe it will find a new home, but are you tempted to make it yours?

Nothing ages a pickup(or really any vehicle)like an aftermarket dual exhaust
coming straight out under the bumper. Other than that this truck is beautiful and his price isnt quite as crazy as it may seem. 90s GM and Ford trhcks are becoming the new squarebodies as far as desirability. Being a 95 model, its the last year before OBD2 added tech as well. Theres a whole market of people out there looking for vehicles that dont have 3 temp sensors, a coil on every cylinder, parking sensors, start stop, an interface system w downloads every 3 weeks and a sat/nav that drains a battery w these updates when you park it at the airport parking garage a week. (Chevy Colorado). To me the only thing that would make this truck more desirable would be a 3rd pedal for shifting and a long bed. I bet it will fetch close to asking

This is a very sweet looking truck. The color, the short bed, wow!
I would have personally preferred the 302, but this is the next best thing.
I almost bought one similar is 1994, but I ended up with a teal green, 1994 GMC, SLE Sport.
That sure is a lot of money, but we will see?
If I was truly interested, I would take a road trip to see in person.
The seller could have provided more information, especially if he’s a car dealer.
Perhaps he did this on purpose so interested parties would have to call him to do ask for additional information?
      Just my oponion!

I agree on the centered dual exhaust…first thing I’d do is have em bent to a 90 between the rear wheel and bumper without the chrome tips.

What a nice truck. Super clean, and they’ve already taken care of adding the dual exhaust. Now, about that price….

I know this probably puts me in the minority, but I prefer the inline 6, 5-speed,crank windows, rubber floor variant of these. I love simplicity in my trucks. My new Tacoma has too much stuff. I’d even live with getting my feet wet to put it in four wheel drive.

Absolutely love the short bed! After owning several crew cans, I’ve gone back to my roots with a short bed F150. This would be a welcomed addition to the garage here, but it’s full. Beautiful truck.

Nice truck, but my biggest issue with that vintage F150 is the complicated mess under the hood. The same year Chevy Silverado was a lot cleaner under the hood and way easier to work on. A comparable Silverado would bring way more $$$$! 👍👍

Mine is a 93 Long bed otherwise equipped the same with 111,000 miles I think the almost $30k asking price is a bit rich since you can get them just as nice on Bring a trailer for $8-15k 96 is the last year for this body in the F150 and they kept this body partway through 97 for the F250 and 350 last years for factory dual tanks and they still outperform the new lighting on just one tank. Kinda makes me want to offer $10k and see if the seller gives in.

Had a 92, first year of this style, and my father had a 96, last year. My only complaint was the 5.8l fuel economy.

No surprise it sold so fast even though the price seemed steep. Nice color, short bed, 4×4, regular cab, little to dislike about this one. I do see the values of pre-1997 F-150s rising, just not this quickly.

Look on the option side on the right, I think it’s there. Hard to read when zoomed in. .

What a beautiful F150. Great color, great interior short box. Nothing here not to like. The price doesnt even scare me considering what they want for the new models these days. I have a 2012 F150 with the Turbo 3.5 -six / 6 sp. auto. trans. and it has been a great truck . I have 238,000 on it now and it still runs as smooth as ever. Who ever gets this red beauty will be getting a truck with plenty of life to go and not mention a bargain from what I have been viewing lately. Good luck to seller …but not needed as this truck will sell for sure !

I have a 1994 xlt 4×4 , same color. I rebuilt the transmission and it drives like new. It’s cheaper to replace parts and keep on trucking.

      I was $500 apart from making a deal on a new ’92 4×4 xlt 5.8 wC6 flareside on labor day 1992.
I called my neighbor who had a similar ford. He said “Don’t do it!!..10 mpg city and highway!”

I walked away from that Ford truck. I ordered a K-1500 Sierra 5.7. 184K miles 31 years later running strong (less one 4l60e tranny) So glad I did!
