Are you looking to add a car to your collection that you can enter and possibly win the next show that has an Unrestored Preservation Class? This 1921 Faultless Raceabout Speedster offered here at Hyman LTD could be the perfect contender for best of show! It’s currently in St. Louis, Missouri for $32.5K. Is Wayne or Jay reading Barn Finds today?

This is said to be an “unmolested” speedster. American Top and Body Co. is said to have had a “go fast” catalog, also known as the Faultless Catalog, so motor-heads could modify their rides. The radiator grill and cowling is said to be from the catalog.

Also from the Faultless catalog is the cut-down body and a special hood, roof and windscreen frame.

The 94 year old leather on the seat is said to be original as well, but there isn’t much left.

There are many more images with the Hyman listing for your review if you are interested. The streamlined tail is great, remember this is from 1921! These images are works of art and so is the car as is.  The owner says that it, “is essentially complete, incredibly solid and it utilizes standard Model T mechanical components”. So does the next owner restore or present as is? Will a museum pick this up for their collection? This is one we will definitely be keeping an eye on!

Motor-on,
Robert

The price has come down 15k from Hershey I see. This thing is very cool but needs a LOT of work.

I am all in A.J. She reminds me of an old Beemer. To bad someone does not make a kit car with this style of body.

One more thing, I know advertising is crucial to most websites and for the most part I do not mind them. Although, I stream audio when I browse this site and some of the adds have audio with them with no way to mute. Overdubbing what I am listening to. Is this happening to anyone else? Thanks, Mike.

Yes, it’s quite annoying, almost enough to make me never click on Barnfinds.com again!

So far Wendy’s and M And M still survive.

I noticed this too and IMMEDIATELY needed to deal with it. Turns out to be super easy in my CHROME browser. Go way up top on your browser tab, right-click and select “Mute Tab” from the rc pull-down menu – done, QUIET!

This would be a fun project to replicate, of course you’d need a model T donor (I’ve heard there’s a few of those around still). You’d also need an English wheel and some fabrication tools. I would be all in for a project like that. Great find Robert keep them coming.
