The Pontiac Grand Prix of the mid-70’s was probably not one of the more desirable vehicles of that gas crunch era. Horsepower was down, gas mileage was a concern and those bumpers… just look at those massive bumpers! But there are a few of us who have gained a soft spot for these less than desirable Pontiacs. This one found here on Craigslist in Wellington, Kansas is listed as a “true barn find”.

Super Sonic Transport: 1968 AMC Javelin SST
Compared to others of the muscle car era it seems that you don’t see as many of the American Motors Corporation’s Javelin, especially one that is an SST version. For this reason, this one might be worth taking a look at. Found here on Craigslist in Topeka, KS this one will need a full restoration to bring it back to its former glory.

Sans Woodgrain: 1972 Ford Galaxie Country Sedan
Many station wagon enthusiasts may not know the difference between the Country Sedan and it’s sibling, the Country Squire… the wood paneling. Some like it, some don’t and for those who don’t this might be what their looking for. This Country Sedan found here on eBay is a nice example of a ’72 Ford wagon, without the fabulous woodgrain.

Baby Corvette: 1972 Opel GT Shed Find
At first glance the Opel GT looks like the offspring of a C3 Corvette. From some similar styling cues to half the number of cylinders these do resemble a baby Corvette. One way that these cars are not similar, though, is in how common they are. The Corvette is more common while the Opel GT is more uncommon. And if you’re in the market for something more uncommon then this one found here in Craigslist, in Hutchinson, KS might be for you. (more…)

Low Mileage First Gen: 1978 Honda Civic
It’s not often that you see a forty year old vehicle with only 80,000 miles on the clock. And it’s really not often that you will find an imported economy car with this low of miles. This first generation 1978 Honda Civic in Andover, Kansas, found here on Craigslist appears to a potentially unrestored example.

A Real Hybrid: 1972 GMC Sprint 4X4 Diesel
A 1972 GMC Sprint isn’t a truck that you see everyday. A lifted 1972 GMC Sprint that has been converted to four wheel drive is really something you don’t see everyday. And a lifted 1972 GMC Sprint that has been converted to four wheel drive that is powered by a 4BT Cummins diesel is likely something you may never find again. This one here on Craigslist in Wichita, Kansas is probably the only one like it in existence.

Rare Midas Edition: 1978 International Scout II
Finding an International Scout II as a project isn’t hard to do. Finding one intact is a little hard to do and finding one intact that is a special edition is even harder to do. This one found here on craigslist in northeast Oklahoma is definitely a project, but one worth considering.

Boosted Bargain: 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo
It seems that Porche 944’s can frequently be found when looking through the local car listings. But it’s not often you’ll find a 944 Turbo…. especially for only $4,500! Listed here on Craigslist in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this 1986 944 Turbo looks to be in decent shape. There is only one catch though – the engine has low oil pressure.
