    I’m thinking a 6 passenger front bench is awful cozy! ISUZU claims 4 passenger rear bench in their commercial crew cabs and that looks too cozy. So I’m thinking 6 on a bench seat is a no go. Does it have 6 sets of seat belts?

    I was given a 70 back in 87. It was in about this condition, mechanically and electronically sound. It had the Buick 350. Flat towed it from CO to VT. Couldn’t register it due to rust, none of severe, traded it on a new GMC. That stands among the half dozen “wish I still had it” vehicles I foolishly let go!

    I had a 75 Cherokee S when we lived in Colorado. I later drove it to Iowa when we moved—V8, 4-barrel, headers, auto, quadra-trac. I put a set of Wagoneer Limited Leather seats in it. They bolted in and were very comfortable. I had 2 problems with it. One was when the Edelbrock air cleaner foam caught on fire after the Edelbrock carb backfired. I am reminded of that every time I see one on a vehicle! The other problem was that it would occasionally fail to start. It turns out it was very simple; I replaced the ballast resistor, a common problem with Jeep and Chrysler, and that fixed it.

    Wagoneer had wrap around taillights, Cherokee had vertical ones. This is a Wagoneer. Not that it really matters IMO
