If I had a choice between a 2004 mint condition under 10,000 and a pre- own 2022 or 2021 low mileage manufacturer certified. I take the 04. I wish it was 4×4 model. Less computers and sensors. Great engine and trans. Two things I would do to it. Weather Tech the inside and Mud guards. This is the best I ever seen. I would bring this to car cruise and hang out. Love the cab in back. Who needs a 4 door! 😂I hope the person who buys this take care of it like the previous owner and enjoys it. 🐻🇺🇸
I think these years / models will probably prove to be more reliable than the new stuff. I have a 2005 Sierra with close to 200k miles. It’s been pretty reliable. Sure, these have some common issues with gauges and electrical stuff, blower motors, etc that commonly go bad, but overall pretty reliable. The transmission gets bad mouthed a lot, and they’re kind of hit and miss on reliability. But, you can say the same thing for the new models with the 10 speeds.
Not sure, maybe it changed with this generation but I think the six stud wheels would indicate 4 wheel drive, probably push button on the dash.
Chevy went 6-hole on all 1500 trucks in ’99 and SUV’s in ’00. The ’88-’98 series was 5-hole on 2WD, 6-hole on 4WD.

I’m fairly certain it is 2wd. All of the 4wd’s had stickers denoting such. Either “4 X 4” like mine or “Z71” if so equipped.

Not quite a classic but on its way. Nice level of trim and features to be an enjoyable truck. When these came out I didn’t care for the headlamp shape but looking at what has followed it now strikes me as a good looking truck.
I’ll admit, I think the previous body style (1999-2002 or 2003, not certain), look better than these that have come to be known as the “cat eye” Silverado’s.

A good, reliable vehicle. The worst characteristic problem these had was the stepper motors in the instrument cluster going bad.
That and the blower motor resistor is going to melt. But, those aren’t big issues. Just a mild pain in the rear.
the sad thing is the original owner sure didn’t get much use out of it. 7000 miles in 20 years.
A friend of mine does this to his nice vehicles and then drives around in a used Toyota.

I don’t see ANY description that I think came from the seller. All I see is an advertisement from BF Auctions. I see the battery is from 2016. Is that mentioned (will need replaced immediately)? Are the tires original? If so, true enough they hardly have any miles on them, but is there any dry rot? They’re 19 years old!
it is most likely the owner is bumping up the bids or his freinds are doing it i would give 14,500.00 cause there always going to be things the truck is going to need it is a 20 year truck even if it only has 7,000 things still wear out

Have been a Ford truck man till I bought ’03 Silverado Z71 4WD in ’09 with 54k miles for $12k. Now at 160k and I love this thing. The older ones are great trucks and I am keeping it till the wheels fall off.
