BF Podcast: We Talk Synth Fuel And Our New Find!

We did it, we bought the Daimler SP250 we found in Florida! In this episode, we talk about whether it was a good buy and we talk a little about Porsche’s commitment to synthetic fuel. It could very well be the fuel that keeps our classics on the road for years, if not generations, to come! So grab some popcorn and join us for this week’s episode. And don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments below!

no, “bad thing” (ur wrds) wuz the intake (the ‘log intake’). I took the ’69 (4.1) for my ’66 bronk. If left ina st car – its a “stop light to stop light” car: tq comes on at 1500 RPM. (same reason I put in bronk low rev tq so tires don’t spin in the dirt).

Now we have an alu head for them (Oz went i6 when we went to the bent8 muscle. It has some influence from the ford down under head).

Hard to understand because of the poor grammar and spelling.

This brings back old memories — in 1963 my parents bought a new SP250 as the ‘family’ car, replacing the ’61 Rambler station wagon. We didn’t need the room since us ‘kids’ had our own transportation by then, plus my parents still had their TR-3. A few months before this I had bought my first car — an old ’55 Speedster, but I enjoyed borrowing the Daimler because of the power it afforded.

A few times when I used it that back seat (bigger and more comfortable than the Speedster) did come in handy for hauling two other teens.

Yep restored 1961 dart, engine for a small v8 was great, designed by the guy that did the triumph motor bikes for the 50’s. But that was the only good thing, always sideways at any fun corner, I went under a truck and trailer unit at 80kph fortunately was left hooker in right side country, only got a minor dent in my temple, this wasn’t the cars fault though. Quirky looking, similar looks to the 55 president speedster I’m almost finished, body off resto.
