Prices for good Austin-Healeys have gotten so high that even rough projects like this ’59 seem like a bargain at $5,000. It probably isn’t a wise choice in the long run, but it does provide a lower entry cost. This particular car has been sitting for 35 years and is going to need a full restoration. The seller doesn’t provide much information, but you can contact them through their craigslist ad here. The car is located in Oklahoma City and was listed less than 24 hours ago, so you had better hurry! I think it is safe to say that you are paying a premium over what the current seller bought it for, but it might still be a good starting point for a serious British sports car enthusiast who is more concerned about saving these cars than making a profit. Thanks goes to Chevy55 for the tip!

I think you meant big Healy, huge project for 5k
A “big” healey is one of those cars where you truly need to buy the best you can!! Better have ultra deep pockets cause this car is going to empty them!!! There will never be a financial upside to this car
You have to decide if you will get your money back from the salvageable parts.
Wheels, engine, driveline? dashboard.
