1938 Bugatti Type 57 Barn Find

With all the talk about how all the good barn finds have already been found, one cant help but wonder if the the supply is drying up. Well we can confirm that new discoveries are being made everyday and that everyday someone parks a future in their barn or garage. Bonhams is offering a couple of recent finds at the their upcoming auction at the Fairfield Concours d’Elegance this weekend.

1958 Jaguar Xk150 Barn Find

First up is lot 714,  a 1958 Jaguar XK150 Roadster . This cat only has 34k miles on the clock and has only exchanged hands twice. It features black paint with a red leather interior. The auction house claims that it runs and has good oil pressure. They estimate that it will go for $45,000 – $55,000. More photos can be found here.

1963 Jaguar E Type Barn Find

Here’s another Jaguar, but this one is of the E-Type variety. This 1963 Jaguar E-Type is a left hand drive European model so the compression is a little higher. It originally sported gunmetal grey paint and a red leather interior. We would want to restore the exterior to the original color because the combo has to look great. Estimated to sell at $30,000 – $40,000. View the lot details here.

1959 Mga Barn Find

Here is something a little more affordable. It is a completely original 1959 MGA Roadster which has only covered 30k miles. That is the original grey paint and red leather. This one also runs well and it would actually be the one we would want to pick up the most. We would do some maintenance on it and try to keep it as original as possible. Should go for between $12,000 – $16,000. Read more about this MGA here.

1938 Bugatti Type 57 Ventoux Barn Find

Finally, the star of the show, a 1938 Bugatti Type 57 Series 3 Ventoux Coupe. It had been sitting untouched for almost 50 years in Pennsylvania. It had suffered an electrical fire at some point in its life and the previous owner attempted to make a few repairs. It is going to take some work to get it back in shape, but it is very complete and original. It is estimated to sell for $150,000 – 200,000. View more photos and read the details here.

I paid 18,500 for my first house, and it had a basement, just saying.
