Cadillac Man’s Collection Up For Grabs!

Lazarus Collection

From Mike F. – I just looked the 400+ vehicles at the upcoming Lazarus Collection auction. It will take place on October 2nd and 3rd. Although it is located up in Illinois, many of the vehicles have good usable interior trim pieces or good bumpers and grills.  There are a number of Toronado XS models, with intact rear glass and sunroofs, and over 200 Cadillacs! Lots of Buicks and Olds of the 1950s’ etc. You can bid online and most have a starting bid of $100. May be worth a look if somebody is needing interior or exterior parts for their restoration projects. Funny thing is, I remember most of these cars when they were new!

I tried to buy a car, which isn’t part of this auction, from this guy about 5 years ago. He wouldn’t give me a price and I got the impression he felt he was sitting on a multi-million dollar collection. Which may have been at one time until everything sat in a big mud pit for 30 years.

A 1963 Plymouth Valiant prototype with a non-slant 6 engine. I’d sure like to know the background on this one.

Lot #470. I want to know what qualifies this as a Plymouth anything. That sure looks like a Chevy 6 in there. Maybe the radiator cap is from a Valiant.

There is certainly lots of cars here but there aren’t too many I’d take on. Just a lot of gross tonnage for the shredder. Parts cars mostly.

I was hoping you guys were exaggerating somehow, one can only hope there is a portable crusher that will be there MAYBE 20 of the cars ” might” be saved , and I think I am being generous there. at one time these cars were very nice vehicles all I have seen is rusted out hulks. either the auctioneer or the seller doesn’t know their cars, as there were multiple ” mistakes” some they were ” guessing” ( ie: 75 or 76) most if not all of these carcasses probably have rusted out undersides almost wasn’t worth my time to look at them

Haven’t seen that much burnt toast since I was in the army………

Sad sad sad… always neat to see that much old iron in one spot, though. Nothing I would risk a bunch of cash on… but a couple of those coupes and convertibles that look like they were kept inside are sure nice.
