When the Model A was introduced in 1927, Model Ts were abandoned in droves. Some found other uses, especially on farms. Others were striped down and made into race cars. Imagine how much fun it must have been for kids to have an old car to modify, hot rod and have a generally grand time! There’s not much left of this one found near Chicago and listed on craigslist in Ashippun, Wisconsin for $3,500. It seems a bit expensive for yard art.

This seems to be mostly a some parts piled up to look like a car. There’s no radiator and the “wheels” almost look like cultivator disks but they might be Chevy wheels. It’s hard to imagine someone would pay much for this unless they’re selling patina by the pound but it is a good example of the kind of thing folks did with abandoned Model Ts.
