Barn Finds reader Barry spotted one of the better Porsche hoards to hit the market recently, as several desirable models are being sold off as part of an estate liquidation. The collection is located in Colorado, and the seller says some are ready to drive while others are close to it, just needing some minor sorting. Find the full listing here on craigslist, with prices ranging from $25K to $650K (!)
The collection consists of the following models: 1966 911 coupe, red, $65k; 1972 911, powder blue, $65k; 1969 912, purple $25k; 1970 911S, metallic blue, $125k; 1970 911E, sunroof, white, $55k; 1964 911 coupe, silver, $650k; 1973 911E, sunroof, black, $65k; 1973 911S, targa, green, pending. I am most curious about the $650K example, as Hagerty has a top-shelf 1964 911 pegged at $440,000, and I don’t see a concours example in the collection.
The storage arrangements at least seem idea, with dry, covered parking and astoundingly clean floors for a shop environment. Little information is offered about the 911s or how they got there, but I’m intrigued by the fat fenders on the red 911 in the bottom of the picture. Presumable, someone ran out of money or ran out of time (on earth) and the collection is being broken up by creditors or heirs.
Every 911 in here has a clear title, which is perhaps most impressive of all. The seller obviously knows the 911 market is white-hot right now, and he can be coy with the details. Still, the air-cooled 911 market is destined to stabilize at some point with only the best cars and projects commanding top dollar – does anyone think the $650K car is such an example?
NICE Collection.
Maybe Jerry Seinfield can get the big
dollar $600+ one 🤠 for his collection and grab some coffee too👀👍
With Hagarty pegging nice 64’s at $240K, this one would need to be #1 off the line with 12,000 miles on it to be that price.
Colorado is a marijuana legal state, y’all. Just sayin’
I bet that $650k number is a package deal price
No mon, he’s got them listed out individually and he tags the 64 at 650k. Not saying you couldn’t get them all for that…just saying he thinks he’s holding bars of gold with that car
The only red car listed is a 1966 911. The fat-fendered red 911 I see is not a ’66. Really sketchy on the details for a seller who’s supposedly knowledgeable. The cars look like they were moved to this warehouse facility. Old cars don’t sit around without accumulating some detritus surrounding them on the shop floor.
Something just doesn’t look kosher to me.
of course they do not look kosher! deeze ah german cars mien friend!!
These are Jerry’s cars. Only he would ask 650k for a 911. ;-)
Had the seller call me and he says there are a total of 80 911s that will be sold from this collection. This is the first wave he said…
Hey at Matt can you hand me his number please would love to chat with him
I’ll take the cheap 912… They handle better than the 911s
NIN! Overpriced junk!
911 heaven
will never understand why people pay these ridicilous amounts for a Porsche, a fast car should not need 4 wheel drive to be fast
