Clearly, it’s also been well cared for and is like new inside and out. The turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is clean and unmodified. Being an IROC R/T means this car is packing the Turbo III engine paired with a Lotus designed cylinder head. I test drove one of these brand new back in 92…bright red with grey leather interior. I was 18 years old. That car seemed SO fast at that time, which I suppose it was. Scared the crap out of the salesman that rode with me lol

Beautiful car, I remember when they first came out, I wanted one badly but couldn’t afford it. A rare bird indeed!

The turbo lll moved it pretty respectably, too- 6 sec zero to sixty, low to mid 14 quarter mile- right there with the top performers of the day.

And despite this car’s subtle appearance, it looks like the owner may have used the license plate to hint at its unexpected power. Might those letters stand for VeNoM?

Would love to have this car, but not so sure about that price.

Used to have a 92 Spirit RT with this same engine. Car was very fast, loved having a couple girls in it and smoking Camaros, Stangs, and even Vettes of the era. Only a ZR1 or a Viper could out run it…..I think 92 was the first year of the getrag trans which high a lower final drive than the 90-91…0-60 was reported at 4.9 and 1/4 at 14 flat……and still got 23-27mpgs…..

Yours must have not been stock. The best times I heard of is 6 second 0-60 15 sec. quarter mile. Mustangs and Camaros both almost a second faster. Still these are great cars

When the Daytona & Laser came out they were attractive. But the time 1990 came about, these cars ‘re-hashing’ was tiresome. The most interesting thing about this car is the power train. The rest? Nope

This car looks nice, but totally recks the IROC name. sorry, that is just how I feel. Why not just call it the Penusmobile?
